Chicago Concert Venue Radius On Track For Early 2020 Opening

CHICAGO (CelebrityAccess) — Radius, a brand new independently owned and operated Chicago music venue will be opening in the Windy City in early 2020.

The primary performance space at Radius is the 10,000 square foot Cermak Hall, which features a D&B KSL sound system, its own entrance, a full bar and an additional stage. Cermak Hall will be used as a pre and post-event space and will be available for private functions.

The venue also includes a mezzanine level to host VIP guests/packages, artist lounges, and nine full-service bars.

While an official opening date has yet to be announced, concerts at Radius begin in February, with a lineup of events that feature techno legend Carl Cox, future house producer Tchami, American hip-hop artist Lil Wayne, metalcore band Killswitch Engage with August Burns Red and Light The Torch, punk rock bands Alkaline Trio and Bad Religion, and Australian psych-rock band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.

Radius’s owner Nick Karounos is no stranger to Chicago’s entertainment scene and has previously owned and operated venues including the Concord Music Hall, the MID, and PRYSM Nightclub.

“We were looking for a scalable, multi-purpose venue space to house a state-of-the-art concert facility with modern art and design elements at the forefront, and we’ve created it with RADIUS,” states Nick Karounos. “This project has been 4 years in the making and we are beyond excited to show Chicago and the rest of the world what we have built for music lovers of all genres.”
