German Ticketmaster Hacked
BERLIN, DE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Kartenhaus.de, a German Ticketmaster company has informed its customers that its security was compromised and that credit card information for 66,000 of its customers had been stolen.
Customers who's financial information was affected by the compromise are those who patronized the website between October 24 2006 to 30 September 2007. A message posted on the Kartenhaus website advised their customers to review their credit card bills for unusual charges. The attackers apparently remain unknown but Ticketmaster reports that it is working closely with a team of "credit, security and technology" experts to investigate the attack and take steps to prevent it from happening again.
No public statements have been made about how the intruders were able to gain access to the sensitive information. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
